charity concerts towards a number of activities taking place

The Royal British Legion is supporting the Orchestra in
a commemorative charity concert.
The Church commissioned the concert as part of their "Music
at Highlands" series, and it is a commemorative charity
event marking the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second
World War.

endearing style and compered by the conductor. Authentic instruments
will be used such as harpsichord and valveless horns, and other

The performances are entitled "CLASSICAL STARS" after the BBC2 television competition last Summer, in which 18 promising young musicians were judged over several weeks by a prestigious panel of acclaimed professional music personalities to find the ultimate winner of a top recording deal.

Two of the finalists in the competition, Ben MacDougall (flute) and Jeanine
Thorpe (violin), are soloists in this programme of light classical music.
